Chão was the name given by the ancestors to a plot of land for cultivation in the Dão region. The expression of character of the Encruzado grape variety is well esteemed in this wine. Partially matured in French oak barrels with gentle batonnage, it presents a citrine colour with straw-coloured highlights. It reveals a very elegant and refined aroma with notes of linden, orange blossom and light citron. In the mouth it expresses well-designed structure, refined balance, with fresh acidity and elegant minerality and a long and persistent finish.
