A Douro of fine crochet.
Crochet 2017 is a wine "feminine and made by four hands", as characterized by the two winemakers and authors, Sandra Tavares da Silva and Susana Estéban. With this wine, they sought to make a hymn to the "Douro spirit" and simultaneously to the friendship that unites these two illustrious personalities of Portuguese oenology, both with a passion for the Douro, where their destinies crossed.
The deep red colour fills the glass, while the fruity and compact aroma alternates between the delicacy of the fruit and an intensely mineral profile.
In the mouth it is tense and serious, rigorous and well-mannered, with structure and aromatic depth.
The finish is elegant.
For the Robert Parker critics who awarded it 95 points, they indicate that "it is the kind of wine that you will only appreciate when the bottle runs out and wonder who finished off the last glass."
The Great Choices go further and in awarding it 18 values state that it is "a distinctive Douro, true Crochet of fine lace. Belíssimo."
Alcohol content 13.5%.
